Default Major Geeks crashes Safari

Yep, tried posting with safari and it crashes now at major geeks. Have to use netscape.

What's up with that?

I have been using this machine for years here and now something on this site crashes my safari when using osx 3.9 and safari 1.3

Have you killed the Safari prefs and tried again?

No, he is running Mac OS X 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3.

Safari 3 runs beautiful here on Mac OS X 10.4.11

Also, is the latest version of Safari installed or is it an older version?

EDIT - ignore!

Not for me

I blame the machine though and for good reason. It has...issues.

The best Internet Browser for the Mac is Camino, which is made by Mozilla. Try it, that's what I use everyday. No issues with MajorGeeks at all.

In the same vein of reasoning on the Software forum, it is not considered kosher to suggest other applications to fix a problem, as it never fixes the problem, just hides it to pop up another day. We are here to fix, not hide issues.

Please stay on subject, we are troubleshooting Safari, if the OP ever replies back.

Nevertheless, its better then keeping this sort of information from him! I am letting the user know he has other options. He already said he uses Netscape.

Safari is not the best internet browser, but it comes with OS X.

Internet Explorer is not the best internet browser, but it comes with Windows.

Posters aren't dumb, if they want alternatives, they will ask for them.
Its certainly is acceptable to reccomend alternatives while giving advice on troubleshooting the issue. By itself...it usually gets deleted by a moderator.

Do you have anything to add for troubleshooting?
