   I do not know how to deal with spam I am getting, it looks like netsend messages. My deesktop is not hooked up to any network. It has an internet connection and I have ZoneAlarm on it.
   
   Any suggestions?

   Ad Aware is for local apps.
   
   There is a remote spam app that uses the Messenger service (Not Windows messenger) in XP.
   
   
   Disable the service in services.msc.
