Default printer keeps changing!

Hi, I've been working on this all day!!! I have 2 USB printers connected to my pc. (XP home) I wish to have the canon as the default, however it constantly switches to the HP deskjet instead! I've deleted the deskjet, reinstalled the drivers for it, set the msft XPS document as default, still goes back to the HP!!??? how can I fix this?

If it were me, I'd just unhook the HP printer.

yes, but the company wants to use it for color printing, they use the Canon for fax/scan and b&w. I'm starting to think I'll try deleting both, then install the Canon first, see if maybe that helps.
