4 ram slots and my options

    Hi Im new here and will prolly be spending quite a bit of time here. I searched and could not find anything on this.

    I have 4 ram slots on a dell dimension 8250. I have two 512s but would like to put two 256s in the remaining slots. Can I do this or do they all have to be the same mb?

    If the 2 additional ram sticks are the same type and speed as each other, I can't forsee any problems. Try it. As long as you're careful, making sure you've discharged any personal static electricity, you should be fine.:)
