    Hi

I'm wanting to upgrade a machine I recently bought. The spec is here:
    http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/index.php?pn=PB81X08301&t=1409

The ram speed is something rediculous like 133Mhz, and I want faster RAM! The system has 3GB at the moment as a pose to 2GB in the spec. Question being, can the motherboard support faster RAM and does anyone know the type of RAM this machine takes.

    Thanks for reading.

Thats a pretty nice machine, and the RAM is certainly faster than 133mhz ;)

The motherboard specs are here http://support.packardbell.com/uk/item/index.php?i=spec_sanfrancisco2&ppn=PB81X08301

It "officially" supports DDR2-400 and DDR2-533, and while there seems to be a void of information on that board in english (only results I found were in german, which had some useful info or asian languages that I cant understand at all)

I did see a few overclocking results with memory at speeds of DDR2-667. I only saw support for 2GB though, are you sure all 3GB are being recognized?

I wish I could help you out more, but this doesnt seem like a performance overclocking board, so you're somewhat limited in your RAM speed.
