Small problem with internet connection

Hey guys, I am having a small problem. Every once in a while my computer will lose connection to the internet randomly. I wont be able to access anything. But if I am on AIM, it stays connected. But I cannot reconnect to AIM if i log off.

The internet connection comes back when I restart the computer. Is there a specific thing causing this? Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I am running a Vista Lap Top, using a wireless connection to a Linksys router.

Do you have any cordless phones? If so are they the 2.4ghz kind?

You might wanna check that device driver as well.
