Yesterday I was following the directions in the Malware Removal Guide on here. I got to the Windows XP cleaning part and did all that but it was late so I stopped after the Spybot S&D Installing and Running and turned off my computer cuz I figured that would be a good place to stop.

Well something ****ed up because now I can turn the computer on but my monitor won't turn on (i have a laptop) What do I do??! Help! :cry

(and i know next to nothing about computers so in english please =])

Nothing in the malware removal procedures should have anything to do with your the screen on your laptop not turning on. Sounds more like a driver issue or a real hardware failure.

Oh I see you posted in Hardware that it is on but the brightness is very low.
Have you tried booting in safe mode? If not please do so and let us know what happens.

Also in normal boot mode can you manage to see the screen well enough to possibly use system restore to revert back to a time before starting the READ ME.
