I have a iMac G5 (non-Intel) that takes PC 3200 184-Pin DDR SDRAM. "Apple" memory, even from third party vendors, is insanely expensive. I'm pretty sure that memory is memory, and that I can buy some of the cheaper modules.
BUT, that is an expensive risk to be taking. Does anyone know for sure what regular market memory will work? Does it have something to do with the "high" and "low" density I keep reading about?? I **know** it IS possible, btw, because I purchased some patriot memory that worked fine in my Apple. But, I bought that used from another Apple user who knew what to look for. I want to upgrade to 2 G, 1 per slot. Can anyone help? Thanks, Hmama |

The prices at Kingston seem reasonable to me, if this is the right iMac you own.
