Default Internet Disconnections

Hi.
I believe this problem goes in this section, but I'm not sure.

My DSL (Verizon)'s been working fine every day for a long while, then somehow yesterday it disconnected randomly throughout the day, I'm guessing every 30 minutes, maybe, maybe a little less, sometimes it's stable for 40+ then disconnects.

And I thought, "My computer/internet is weird today, it'll be fine tomorrow." Then now it's today, and there are still random disconnects.

I've never had this random disconnection of DSL problems, ever, before, even when I used it for like 12 hours straight during the summer daily and so this is pretty awkward. I don't remember doing anything wrong, really.

My modem has 4 lights that usually go on, "Power, Ethernet, DSL, and Internet".Usually when everything's fine all the lights are solid green and never blink, maybe once in a loong while. But I would find during the middle of my computer use that the "Internet" light would be off and "DSL" light would be blinking constantly, flickering on and off.

I really have no idea what's wrong, and I'm not good at this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Internet Disconnections

have you tried resetting your modem? unplug your router power cable, then unplug your cables plugged into it for a few minutes. plug all the cables back in (make sure all connections are tight), then plug back in your power connection to your modem. check your connection to your comp. how is your comp connected (wired with ethernet cable)? if this doesn't help, then you can always call your dsl provider. g/l, sos
