Two 320MB SLI or one 512MB card?

    Ello all

At the moment I have an Inno3D 8800GTS 320MB card on an NVIDIA Nforce 780i SLI board with 4Gig Ram, 2.4 Core 2 Duo and I want to upgrade my card.

I'm thinking about a Leadtek/Gigabyte/Asus 512 8800GTS card. (These are all the same price so any advice on which you guys think would be the better card would be much appreciated) BUT I can get another Inno3D 8800GTS 320MB card for a third of the price of the 512MB cards and run them on SLI.

I've never set cards up on SLI before, if I use two 320MB cards does that mean I'll get the equivalent of a 640 MB card? And are there any problems that'll come up from using the two cards? Or should I just get a hassel-free 512 card?

    Thanks for any advice

what are you using this for?

    i really like the 8800's so i'd say a 512,

depends on the use though ...

I'm using it for gaming and 3D work. After a bit of research I've decided to go for the 512 card but now I don't know if I should get an 8800GTS or a 9800GTX.

I've been looking at EVGA cards and there's like $30 difference between the cards.

9x has minor problems, plus the driver isn't perfected yet. And the chip isn't radically changed. I'd go for the one with longer garancy, if you don't mind that 30$
