Lately my browser has had some trouble. No matter what it is, if I try to download something, it closes as soon as it finishes the "copying file" process, which is after it reaches 100%. I have psoted this on a number of sites, and I am almost sure I know what my problem is, but need help removing it.
When looking through my IE addons, I saw this addon filled with random numbers and letters. People on a site told me that the file smbdl.dll is unsafe and I think it is my problem. How can I remove this? My spyware is on a trial that just ended so I cannot use it, or download another. Can I delete it by tracking the source file? If so, where could it be found?

I can find no reference to smbdl.dll in Microsoft's Knowledge Base.
Even Googling it gives no results.
Have you done a "search" for smbdl.dll?
Start>Search (make sure the search is in Advanced mode with "Search System Files" and "Seach hidden files" are checked)
If so where does it appear?
