Visit www.crucial.com for a scan of your PC and details on what RAM your PC uses. Then visit any RAM re-seller to purchase suitable (or downwards compatible) RAM.

    Try www.mundocorp.com for Gateway parts.

    Welcome to MajorGeeks!

The Crucial site linked above is a good one! You might also want to look into Windows Service Pack 2 (at least)!:-D

If you let us know what the Crucial scan tells you, we might can hook you up with some deals.

It would help to know the Gateway model you have....

Googled your MB and the seventh post on this forum found-

It appears you have SDRAM 100 MHZ speed. That is not tough to find and is about $40 a stick.

IN the MG Buy and Sell you will find 128 Meg SDRAM for sale. You could add two 128 sticks to fill all four slots, or add a pair of 256.....

Not sure where you hang your hat, but this outfit (based in Texas) has some PC100 ram. I've done a lot of business with them, and they are pretty good about RMA's if for some reason the ram is incompatable.

PC133 ram would probably work also, if you can't find what you need in the PC100 - it would of course run at the 100mhz speed. Not sure about mixing 100mhz with 133mhz though . . .
