Nvidia 8400gs problem

Hi guys, I wonder if u can help me with a wee problem I'm having. I just purchased a brand new machine....

...and am having problems running graphically intensive programs...namely COD2 I used to have a P4 processor with a MSI Radeon 9250 VGA card and frankly COD preformed better with the old setup

I've tried playing with some of the card settings and optimising COD for performance but to no avail. Can someone tell me if there is some tweaking I can do to improve this or if it's just crappy hardware?

No worries...looks like the graphics card was set to highest quality and could not handle the load. Set it for optimum performance now...all is well
