MPC 190 Image class all in one

Hi, I purchased the above "All in one" some time ago, and it has allways given me good service. This week it gave me the message that "Waste ink tank almost full". I contacted the Canon website for info' on how to empty the tank and was told to take the printer to an agency, as the job involved some dismantling. Bearing in mind the logistics of getting the printer some 15 kilometers on public transport, and the high cost of any work; I think that it could be easier to attempt the job myself. Can any kind person give me some idea as to how much work is involved? Thank you. Ken
