I did the search, but the newest info is old. I am building a new game computer and have seen the new LCD's and interested in a Samsung 22 in. 2ms response. All the new monitors are wide screens and my question is do wide screens mess with the visual of the games at all. I have an old LCD, but it is square. Thanks

Yes and no.... most new games support widescreen resolutions. (Remember the 16:9 ratio... you'll want a resolution in that ratio. My 22" monitor does 1680x1050 native)

When the media (movie, games, w/e) doesn't support widescreen resolutions, it will (usually) appear in a fullscreen resolution, which means there will be black bars to either side. Not really a big deal.
