Windows Update does not work
When I try to update my Windows Vista Basic through Windows Update, it always gives me an error. I'm not sure, but I have an update problem with Trend Micro and Windows Defender, and TM says that it is a proxy problem. I did have a proxy a month ago, but it has been removed for awhile now.

Also try this Open Network Center > Manage Connections > Active connection Open Properties > TCP/IPv4 > click Properties Make sure that " Obtain an IP address automatically " and " Obtain DNS server address automatically " are marked.
