Superglue cures fan rattle.

    Had a controlled fan go very rattly but didn't have a correct sized spare handy.

    However rattling is often cause by the blade hitting or rubbing on something.
    In this case the control circuit board, mounted concentrically with the blades was rubbing.

    I glued the board back down to the mounting boss with good clearance to the fan blade. Now all is quiet.

    In the photo the blade are the black part at the top, the mounting boss the black part at the bottom and the circuit board the brownish strip between. Note the new clearance to the blades.
