Icons Will Not LOAD!!!!!! HELP!!!

I have NO idea why this happined I didnt click anything so I think.
My desktop icons will not appear. I mean they are there but instead
of the regular picture above each icon caption, there is a white box
with a blue bar at the top. How do I restore the icons to make the
pictures visible again??? Please Help Me!!! :cry

I'm assuming Windows XP...

If that doesn't work, try using the TweakUI PowerToy from Microsoft. It has an option to rebuild icons under the Repair option. The version of TweakUI here at MajorGeeks is version 1.33 and doesn't list WinXP; so I've linked to version 2.10 here:
