I have an old 19 inch Samsung Sync Master 955DF monitor. I am planning on purchasing a new computer and would like to know if my monitor is compatible with the Windows Vista Operating system. I have not been able to find a driver listed for the monitor anywhere. Any help will be appreciated.

I did not find any Vista drivers for that specific monitor either. Still, it will probably work as a generic monitor if nothing else. You do not usually need monitor drivers in order for them to just plain work. I have had no problems with Vista and drivers so far, I think it's not nearly as bad as many people try to make it out as.

    Hi

Yes as Jamiko mentions Vista if it doesnt pick up a Samsung driver ( and Vista has a much larger driver database than the one built into XP ) it will use a generic PnP driver, my Samsung 205BW while has a Vista driver, its not as good as the Vista built in generic one, also tried just now an old Samsung SM570b LCD with no Vista driver and works fine.

So you should have no problems.

Thank you for the information. I will go ahead and get a new computer without a new monitor and save a few bucks.
