Bioshock trouble

Just bought Bioshock after getting bored of Crysis, but once i've clicked on new game/ difficulty level it goes black and crashes. After looking at Take2k support forums, I've installed all latest drivers for GPU, DX10 and so on, removed any conflicting software like Wacom tablet service, and followed every possible step (including latest patches and removing OC'ing) to fix this apart from one, and still no joy

Even compatibilty mode for XP SP2 wont run.

The only other step is to install XP onto a spare HDD. To be honest I'd rather not, but Vista is making a monkey out of me

maby Its your 64bit version of vista? or have you tried to reinstall the game i search on Google and from what i found some people have your problem and some report it working absolutely fine so if it 1 or 2/both of those problems then im stumped as wellconfused

 

Yeh i tried re-installing it twice, still to no avail

Tis a shame as I hear its an excellent game! But there sure seems a lot of problems associated with it

 

shame yes it is a very good game (beter then crysis)
i am stumped so keep searching on Google

 

Have you tried disconnecting one of your graphics cards? Bad SLI support causes all sorts of issues...

 

I took the SLI bridge off yesterday and removed the power, and still nothing!

Ah well, i may just have to give this one up. Thanks for all your help though guys, it's much appreciated
