Help Wanted - Computer "Stutters"

I use "stutters" for lack of a better word. Every couple seconds the computer seems to freeze, then resumes normally. CPU and RAM both seem fine, AMD Turion 64 ML processor currently at 25% load, and 2 gigs of RAM also using only 25%. I use CCleaner, Disk Defrag, Pagefile Defrag, Advanced WindowsCare V2 Pro, SuperAntiSpyware, and Kaspersky Antivirus, and have tried about 6 different registry cleaners, but none ever fix the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

what are your startup programs need more details.maybe one of your programs is causing it.click on help go to maintaince and click on system configuration go to startup section.

 

Have a malware check here on MajorGeeks. You should go over the guidelines and upload your logs in MajorGeeks Malware Removal Forum. At least run an online scanning somewhere if nothing else. You see: some key loggers can cause this behavior...

 

Open Device Manager (ctrl + alt + del) and see in Task Manager what is using the CPU - not only the % but look for things that are using a large amount of Peak memory usage.
McAfee and Norton are notorious for slowing down computers (temp freezes). I have heard a few unflattering things about Kaspersky lately. That could be part of the problem but I don't want to say until we have some readings.

 

OK, seems to be working OK now. Ran through the malware section, and apparently I had some that neither my antivirus or SAS were picking up. One of the registry repair programs I downloaded to fix the problem was even on the list, apparently adding to the problem.

My apologies on posting the HJT log, I got this site off their list, so I though I was being proactive.
