Vista keeps insisting there are files missing, even after reinstalling Vista when I try to play DVD movies which I want to do.

Is there a truly excellent app for watching DVD full length movies on either Laptop or Desktop running Vista Ultimate?

Tired of messing with this thing.

    Thanks.

I wanted to add this to my post above but I wasn't allowed to :cry

VLC Media Player (also has many built-in codecs; totally free and open source)

I listed these two (VLC and MPlayer above) mainly because they can play just about any media file you are likely to come across, both video and audio, including DVDs. Another bonus is that neither requires the use of additional codec packs which can be real pain sometimes.

    ENJOY!
