Hello, I am thinking about replacing my P4-2.4ghz cpu with a P4 at 3.0 or 3.2
Ghz CPU. My MSI motherboard is a MS-6553E-120 (MS-6533EG-LM) . The MSI Spec sheet says it supports 400/533 MHz FSB.
    Q1: Can I run a 800 MHz P4 on this board w/o issues?
Q2: Would it just run very slow, slower then my 2.4 Mhz?
Q3: Would I need a different CPU cooler fan, if so, any thoughts?

A 533 FSB P4 cpu is available at PCprogress.com for $96.00 (3.0ghz,533 bus, 512k, Northwood, 13 micron OEM) I would like to stream the Olympics over my computer and they are recommending a 3.2 P4 to do mutliple screens at once. (misc info...I have a Radeon X1650 Series video card, 512meg, up to 8AGP (I have 4AGP.)
    Help would be appreciated.

Please cancel, delete or close this thread. MSI called me and answered my dumb
question: The motherboard specs are indeed the FSB limits=533.:(
