Wireless keyboard install: problems!

Last year I bought a Labtec Wireless Desktop Edge keyboard and mouse combo, and installed it without any hassles. After the install an icon appeared in the lower right corner and I was able to change scroll function, set the cursor to jump to default options, and similar things.

Just recently I installed a new hard drive. Now, when I install the keyboard, it works just with the basic functions. As I'm installing I get a message "Keyboard Filter Installer - Open Device Key Fail". I don't know if this is related, but the customising options aren't coming up.

    Any ideas?

    My machine: Acer 3600GT
OS: Win XP Home - SP3 installed.

That updated driver didn't solve the problem, but now I'm not sure what the problem was! After installing it with no change I thought I might as well check Mouse Properties through the Control Panel, and the Labtec logo appeared in the display. So it would seem that the software was being installed all along. I'm sure though that on previous installs that the red and white icon would appear beside the time display.
