ATA-5 & 6 : Interchangeable???

is the physical interface for 2.5" notebook drives ATA-5 and ATA-6 the same?
I'm assuming the answer is yes.... firmware different but pins the same

These sites seem to say the connectors are the same, and that ATA-6 is backwards compatable with ATA-5, I think. I just skimmed them.

 

i has seen the Tom's article and a host of others but oddly nobody talked about the pin config or otherwise physical interface. so I finally called a Fry's store and asked around, was told they're same/same interface.
