Wireless ISP question

    I have some friends that are moving into a house. The landlord has some kind of deal with the cable and says the will not be able to get a cable modem.... I was wondering if anyone knows what wireless isp is the fastest and/or best. Also what is the max speed that you can get with a wireless intenet card in a laptop?

    not enough info to really tell you, going to need OS & modem\router info as well, wired or wireless on the network ( wireless speed has variables as well)
