CDRW visible in vista but not in bios!??

    Hi, anybody know how to fix this? I can't boot any cd's or dvd's with my gateway solo 9550, no matter what I try in the bios I can't get it to boot, no way to make to bios "see" it either, BUT the cd drive works perfectly once vista has loaded! No " ! " in device manager or anything. I even downloaded and flashed the bios, no diff. still not showing any cd drives installed in bios :(
