Processor Transfer

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by HumbleServant1611, Aug 4, 2008.

  1. I tried transferring one processor to another computer but they were different sizes along with the heat-sink.

This is the CPU Socket that I have cpu_socket370.jpg

And this is the processor I want to install processor.jpg

But obviously they don't match so does that mean I have to Remove the motherboard to make the processor work?

    Thanks!!

Yes your cpu socket on your motherboard has to match, so if it doesn't fit you need a new motherboard, or new cpu that matches.
