Hello - not sure if this is the right site to post my question.

I bought an Insignia iPod compatible alarm clock/radio thing for my son. He often docked his iPod Nano in it as it would play and recharge. One morning he woke up late b/c the alarm didn't go off. The display was blank and so was the connected iPod. Neither one has worked again. Of course the clock was only under warranty for 3 months and this was 6 months later.

We tried connecting the iPod to the computer to Restore, but nothing happened. It's completely dead. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix it, or is this just a hopeless thing?

    Thanks for any help!
