I get different results from different utilities. Which one of the following is the most accurate?

    1. HDD Life
    2. SmartFan
    3. HDD Sentinel
    4. CrystalDiskInfo
    5. HDD Observer
    6. HD Inspector

Or is some other program which is not on this list, the most accurate?

    TIA!

The company I work for last month bought Volitans Smart Utility to monitor the hard disk on our servers I am not sure if it is the best on the market. I have it running it on my 2 servers in my department as my disks are running OK I can't tell if it is going to detect a drive failing in time to save data, but I run auto backup every night.

Volitans is for Mac OSX. I want a windows xp version. Moreover, I am looking for a freeware/shareware utility.

chaimjm, thanks for your reply, nevertheless!

Any more opinions from anybody else?

I don't the answer to your question on accuracy. I just thought I'd mention another program: SpeedFan.

What are some aspects of those programs you've tried where you see differences?

I wrongly typed SmartFan when actually it should have been SpeedFan. I do use SpeedFan but the health and performance figures stated by different programs vary too much.
