Recover data [garrry]

    im pretty new to computers and i dint know all the lingo, but i have a lot of common sense and know these can be pretty sensitive. my mom had an emachines desktop and it got struck by lightening, she had a lot of info and pics on the main drive, i was wondering if i could plug the main into my pc and get the info out of it

    Hi

    Yes you could try that to recover the data, if hard drive is SATA then your fine plug in SATA cable and power, bit if IDE (wide flat ribbon cable) then make sure the jumper on the back of the drive is set to CS or Slave.
