   which would be faster for gaming/general use?
   
   AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz Socket AM2 125W
   
   or
   
   AMD Phenom 9600 Agena 2.3GHz Socket AM2+ 95W
   
   basically the fastest AMD dual core vs. the slowest AMD quad core
   
   (i had to decide, i already bought the dual core because it costed less, i just want other people's opinions)

   Funny enough reading something earlier and Xbit labs have a benchmark session on such CPUs plus others http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/amd-phenom_10.html#sect0 dont always take too much stock in benchmarks if the PC does what you need it to do then its good and serves its purpose, but the results of their test are in link.
   
   Did start at the performance tests but if you wish to read all the article then navigate is near bottom for the different pages.
