Default How safe is ImgBurn software?

I download and installed the freeware program called ImgBurn. The software seems to work OK and I haven't had any problems that I know of. I am a little concerned about a line of text that appears at the bottom of the main program window. The text changes each time I run the program. It is not program related, mostly just one line of ramblings or drivel. Some of the lines are just plain smut and not at all amusing.

To see something like this, in an otherwise very professional looking program, is a little scary. Is this the work of some hacker and is there something going on in this program that I need to worry about?

Comments please.

I have been using ImgBurn for a long time, and I think it's an excellent program. It is clean from malware and has a very high rating here at Major Geeks, and is generally considered to be one of the finest burning programs available. As to the "line of ramblings or drivel . . . plain smut and not at all amusing", I have no idea what you're talking about. If you could post a screen shot, it would really help clear things up. I just ran ImgBurn just now, and that bottom line is supposed to provide the status of the disc and/or drive that is to be used for burning. It is NOT supposed to be drivel, smut, or ramblings. You may have a virus or malware infection. Check out The Major Geeks Guide to Malware Removal and follow the steps exactly as they are laid out to see if you have a virus.

A quick Google search gave me part of the answer. I should have done that first.

Those can be removed... goto ... 'Tools > Settings > General' and then CHECK the 'Dont Show Funny Quotes' and apply
