Been getting a message on bootup: A problem with the hard drive has been detected.
So, I ran the PC Doctors For Windows test and it said: Surface Scan Test Failed, Error Code 2811-204

    It's a 5 year old Maxtor 80Gig 6Y080L0, Interface Type DMA/ATA-133
    40 pin IDC connector

I don't know much at all about changing this thing out, need someone to try and guide me in the direction I need to go....PATA, SATA, what kind of connectors I need to get, do they come with the drive, can I use the existing connector, etc.

I have been wanting to get some more space for a while, mostly just for music files. I don't do gaming, but do record music on a DAW occasionally.

    Anybody???
