My printer keeps changing my IP address...

    My pc keeps changing my ip address. I have the printer connected to 4 pc's by IP address. It worked for a few weeks and then t started to change alomst daily now. Any idea on why?

    Do I need to give it a static IP? I get the IP by going into the on board printer screen and I goto the printer config. It is a HP colorjet 5550 DTN. Thanks.

    yeah, give it a static ip and make the reservation for dhcp. then make sure the ip is correct in the port options in the printer properties.
