so...

i just installed my new hard drive recently, and everything has been running great EXCEPT i read a while ago that SATA cables shouldn't be bent at any more than a 90 degree angle as to prevent data loss

my SATA cable isn't "bent" really, its more like "curved" but it is in some places a bit more than 90 degrees. is this okay? or do I need to buy a shorter SATA cable (which would solve the issue)?

it's a relatively short cable, i wouldn't say any more than a foot or so long

 

Ya, that's what this is about in length.

 

I was actually thinking about buying this, would it be too short? I have a standard ATX case & ATX mobo and my hard drive is in the top bay. I think it would be just the right length.

 

I really have no idea man, take a tape measure to it. Just don't short anything out doing the measurement eh?:-D
