hello and server/host help

Hello geeks,
I have lurked here many times to solve malware issues and can't thank you guys enough for your simple steps to solve issues. I now have a new issue.
I am a regular at a forum called MetsRefugees.com Its a simple forum system but we have had all sorts of issues with speed since moving to a new server. We used to be on forumup.us but they started killing us with ads and people with virus protection were getting warning popups.
So, we are looking for a good host for our forum. Anyone have any ideas. We get a bit heavy sometimes (I don't know, 40 or so people on at once) and we would like to avoid the big slowdowns that we currently get.
