    Hello everyone,

I am new to Vista and I have set up a network between two wireless laptops and 1 desktop with a LAN connection.

My problem is that on my desktop (XP) I have choosen certain files for sharing but cannot view or find them on Laptop (Vista).

I know on XP you go to "network places" on the start menu and I can find it fine. How and where do I find these files on Vista?

Oh ya, I do have both computers set on the same workgroup.

Thanks for the link. I completed all the steps. I can see my PC (XP) in the network map on my Laptop (Vista) but it will not show up in the computers and devices screen.

    Any ideas?

our desktop is Vista and our others are XP and we share wirless from the Desktop thru a router.. I cant seem to find a path simple enough to follow in setting up the network thru the Vista PC, it has been formatted a few times this year. so it has been frustrating, it seems there is usually a problem with setting it as workgroup, or mshome.. so I thought I would try setting up both... but there is still one of our xp pcs missing from the network... any solutions other than a large hammer.. Thankyou... Rachel
