drivers??

hello there...just wonderin...a firend has a laptop..an old one...the keyboard on it is broke so he has got himself a usb keyboard...But he wants to reinstall windows on to it...he's asking wether the laptop would know the keyboard drivers?? after he takes off windows so he can input his serial?? Any help would be really apprecieated...cheers doods.

 

The USB drivers should download duiring the initial install as with the ps/2 keyboard. If you were to plug in a usb keyboard the drivers should already be installed therefore it should work. However if the usb drivers don't load then you are right you won't be able to plug in the keyboard.

I think I may have you yield to someone who has more experience on the installation of windows and the order of driver install
