Computer not reading SD Card content

I have a Micro sd card that is inside my phone and I would like to transfer the pictures and videos from my phone to my computer

Phone>MicroSD> *insert MicroSD into Toshiba MicroSD Adapter to SD> SD Adapter to Laptop....

I saved the content to a new folder. The folder shows up on my laptop but the content doesn't. I clicked on properties and there was space taken up from the content...

If anyones how to show these files, i would greatly appreciate it
