Is your PC one from the likes of DELL, HP etc if so what is make and model?


If your PC is a custom or home build, then what is the motherboard make and model?


Its likely you need to install the Chipset drivers for your motherboard first then the audio ones, as that PCI\VEN code is High def audio.


can use Everest to help find the info above on make and model

EDIT: also what Service Pack is your XP? as you could be missing the UAA driver for High Def Audio

AH gotcha on re-build, likely to start with you are missing the Chipset Driver then the Audio one, do download both and unzip if needed, then install Chipset first and reboot and then install the Audio
