Problem with Fraunhofer Mp3 Codec

Hello to All,
My Problem is none of my installed software or system will recognize / see the Fraunhofer Mp3 codec as being installed and active.
If possible, could someone be able to help me get the codec installed correctly or point me to someone / some company / website that could help
me solve my problem...
I have used the codec very successfully in the past to covert Mp3s to small sized wav format files for inserting into emails, and I love it. It worked great under Windows XP...

My System info is as follows:......
Windows 7 RC Ultimate (64-bit) operating system
8.0 GB of Ram - Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q9650 @ 3.00GHz

Software Installed and wanting to use codec with:
Sony Sound Forge V9.0E
NCH Software - Switch Audio Converter

Audio Codec:
Fraunhofer MPEG Layer-3 Audio Codec / decoder

 

The problem lies in that it is a 32-bit codec and your OS is 64-bit.

Please try installing 64-bit LAME ACM codec, instead, from this page (download file from "Vista" link, it should work with Windows 7).
