    Hello,

I know this thread is very old and I should have probably created a new thread. Since MajorGeeks had already had a thread on this, I thought it was more easir to post here.

I am looking for "HALO" if this person is still here. If not, I have a need of these drivers, if someone is available to point me in the right direction:
    • Realtek RTL8201CL
    • RealTek HD Audio (All outputs for this model)
    • Chipset: nVidia nForce 410
    • Device Audio: MCP51 High Definition Audio
    • Audio Playback: Realtek HD Audio (All Outputs V5.10)
    • Modem: Agere Systems PCI-SV92PP Soft Modem
    Model: Compaq Presario SR1820NX (HP)
    Motherboard: AsusTek A8N-LA (NAGAMI)

If I can get the right software/drivers for the RealTek RTL8201CL, I will have goos start in my rebuild project. I am going to the respective websites and am unsure of I should take the higher versionings offered. I feel that I should start with original equiptment, but if someone can offer advice on this, I would appreciate it. :)

    Backgrounf/History:
I was trying to troubleshoot a Dual Core that only one core was "enabled" in XP Home. I knew the chip was good and my HP image of the OS didn't allow for the Dual Core. Since HP does not give its customers a install disk so one could do a repair of the OS (A rebuild of the HAL is what I was going for), I bought the Upgrade to Pro. I installed it full on a new 1TB internal SATA drive. Now, there are a few things I need to get. BTW: I have full use of both cores after months of BS from HP and my oen fears in messing up what I already had invested.

I hope HALO is still here as I am a MCSD from 2000 and a long time computer geek myself. ;)

I hope someone can help with at least the one driver. I'll look at the files base here to see if anything is available.

    Thank you,

    BarJabba :wave

    Re: Drivers for Realtek RTL8201CL

You were right in thinking that you should have started a new thread, but whatever. Here's your drivers:
    Chipset: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...n&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=1841849
    Modem: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...n&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=1841849
    Ethernet: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...n&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=1841849
KB888111; Microsoft UAA High Def Audio Update: ftp://ftp.microsoft.com.ar/so/KB888111/eng/kb888111xpsp2.exe
    HD Audio Driver: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...n&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=1841849
    Video/Graphics Driver: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...n&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&product=1841849
Install these drivers in the same order as they are listed here (chipset first) and always restart the PC when prompted. That should do it. If you have any other questions, feel free to post, but in the future, it's best to start a new thread instead of dredging up threads that are over 2 years old. LOL

(NOTE- these drivers are for Windows XP Service Pack 2; if you have SP0 or SP1, please install SP2 before installing the drivers; if you have SP3, you will not need to install KB888111)
