    I bought a new gateway w/ intel 2 quad 8200. I do not have a graphics card.
How do I run folding@home on all 4 cores?
I used the Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 SMP client console version , I got the "MPI is working, MPI is working" in the CMD box. I then try to run folding@home, and nothing happens. I checked the task manger, but I do not see it running in the processes tab.

Does this help? I don't know why either. Came from here, I hope it gives you a clue.

I CPU fold using VMWare and Ubuntu, some %20 faster than on Windows but I hope you can figure this out, the guide is quite good. Good luck on your folding.:)

Just for comparison, on my stock Q6600 I get 2K PPD.
