Cannot install Spybot

    I am having the same problem. The spybot window says against "status" it is trying to connect to 127.0.0.1 and then a window appwars saying what garwatts mentioned. Any ideas? I have checked the HOSTS file in the computer and can see
    127.0.0.1 localhost

    Thank you for any help.

    There must be another entry in your HOSTS file redirecting to 127.0.0.1 the address of the site you are trying to download from.

    Try the publisher's site http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html
