    My new laptop came! Finally! And she (he?...I haven't decided yet) is beautiful. :-D


    Of course, I just opened the box and powered it on so it's still just setting up, but it's certainly more stylish than my last (not that that matters, but it's a bonus).


    Anyway.... lol, I'm excited.

    i can't wait my son gets his free laptop from the school this week and it has windows 7 installed,the anticipation is killing me i am really hanging out to get my mitts on it so i can indulge my mind and suss out everything on it.i know how you feel LauraA its like a kid with a new toy.

    :-D The jury is still out then. So far I've gotten sexy. I haven't let her/him come out and play too much yet. We'll see when I load Photoshop onto it and get to my photography. I'll have to try out one of my games I haven't been able to play too and see how the vid card is.

    So far so good. Starts up very quickly, moves very quickly. I had XP (Vista on a desktop I never use), so I'm trying to find everything. What'd the apple guy say? I have been tuning him out. I used to laugh at those commercial and think they were different. Now they just need to get a new concept.


    Probably. :-D But it was my birthday. :p

    basically, it shows all the old windows guys saying the new windows wont have the problems the previous one had insinuating windows 7 would have problems like vista.

    lol...so far there hasn't been any issues for me. But I've never had any issues with our Vista desktop (and that is the machine my kids abuse,er, use.:-D). I went by all the friends I have here that are happy with 7. They are the ones I listen to. :)

    OK, you can take credit, my idea was to fix XP so it actually worked and we did not have to buy a new OS- Oh, my what a concept! :-D
    ME- XP- Vista ( crash and burn quickly) great Windows 7, I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, I 'm about to lose control and I think I like it, like it... :cool:cool

    Nice lappy. :) I got my wife one a few months ago that is pretty cool - came with Vista but has a free Windows 7 upgrade option (which I have applied for . . . providing all the required proof of purchase items demanded by HP, and completing the on-line questionnaire. So far they haven't asked me to sacrifice a goat at the stroke of midnight in the middle of a crossroad . . . but I wouldn't be surprised . . . ).

    Lap tops are pretty cool! I've never actually wanted one till we got my wife one . . . now I'm rethinking Christmas . . . :-D
