Post Good score/Bad score

Hello every1,

Now i am new at tweaking stuff and benchmark scores, anyway here is my problem, I recently ran the 3DMARK2003 test and only scored 1868 now I don't know if this is good or not if it isn't ,listed here are my PC specs

Intel Pentium 4 3.06GHZ HT
Asus P4T533-C Motherboard
1GB RDRAM
Geforce 4 Ti4600 128mb Video card
Audigy platium sound card
x2 200GB HDD

if I need to tweak the system how, also is my Graphics card any good I was thinking about the PNY Nvidia Geforcefx 5900 Ultra (but a little out of my price range) what are ATI cards like, anybody please help this PC I have was Specialy built and is supposed to be state of the art....Help

it's your vid card. 3dmark03's scores are composed like this:

90% videocard
10% other system

This is why you don't score too high in 03.

3DMark03 is designed to run DX9 & being that the ti4600 is not DX9 compliant, that would be why your score is low. Notice that those machines with high scores are running either Nvidia FX cards or ATI 9800's.

The 9600pro is a very good card and comes it around 200euro. When I had it I was getting a score of 3500 in 3dMard03
