    Hey all...

What do you believe to be the most reliable source of system temps... BIOS reading, external monitor w/ sensor under heatsink or an application like ASUS' probe?

This is assuming that the processor is plugged into the mobo fan header, of course.

I ask because my BIOS is reading about 6 to 8 celcius cooler than either of the other two.

    Thanks,

Personally I belive the best method is external temp sensor attached as near to the core as possible

Well, since ASUS Probe and my external sensor are showing a very similar reading, logic states that the BIOS would be the incorrect one...

Thanks for the reply... it's a bummer, cuz that reading in the BIOS looked nice. :)
