I want to change the Windows startup and shutdown screen for my computer. I know you could do it in win 9.x by just replacing a certain file. Since I upgraded to XP, I don't remember the files for the startup and shutdown screens. Can you tell me please?

    ps
(I miss my matrix screens:( )

I'm d/l ing the file as we speak: but now I'm curious: how would you manually edit these screens? there must be a path to follow -something you can edit...

    c:\windows\system32\logonui.exe

that is the logon screen. you will need a hex editor like recource hacker to edit it.

Cool stuff guys, I think I'll try it. Anyone have any good startups they made or ideas of what to make? I'm not too artistic.
