security question

Could not find a security or virus forum. My question is: With a DSL internet connection and my computer turned off and my hard drive not spinning is it possible for a hacker to access information or use my computer? No firewall. Norton a/v.Win ME.

No, but you should still use a firewall anyways.

 

Hey moif, firewall is a must have for DSL or cable .
I would reccommend McAfee 7.0 very easy to use , contains virus scan , firewall, free updates, online help, ETC.
Ive run for last year. like so much I run on 3 PCs.
Ive seen online from anywhere from $14 to $40 great deal for either price before I purchased had lots of problems hacks virus etc. I believe you can download free trial on thier web site..
